Hillary Rodham Clinton is one dangerous woman. Some of the negative reports about her may be Republican propaganda, but most come from her own lips. Certainly not out of the mouths of babes and sucklings. She may well be the first woman American President in 2016, a fledgling hawk that will soon be fully empowered.
It is in many ways amazing that Egypt is hosting and negotiating the current peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel. The current powers in Egypt are totally against the Muslim brotherhood and by extension are totally against Hamas. The only explanation is that Hamas will not fare well. It seems likely that behind the sceen, Egypt and Israel are working together.
Sacrifice on the alter of self defence. The blitz of London when we were the good guys and Germany the bad guys. Carpet bombing Dresden when we were the bad guys and women and children the good guys, or was it the other way round? Hiroshima and Nagasaki when there were only dead and yet to be born deformed guys.

Abbott and Costello were a comedy team in the 1940's and early 50's. Abbott was tall, Costello shorter and chubby; they wrote the Who's on First? comedy routine. Our very own Abbott and Brandis on Data Retention beats Who's on First at every base.

Israel, and for that matter its echo John Kerry, has already decided that the first essential is that Gaza is demilitarized.
It won't be long before the other right wing Zionist sycophants, the UK, Canada and Australia, come out in favour of a demilitarized Gaza also.
Chris Hedges was a foreign correspondent for NYT for 20 years. He now writes for Truthdig.com. Here are some comments on his outstanding essay: Why Israel Lies. "All governments lie; Israel engages in jaw-dropping lies".
Big Lie Große Lüge
The objective of the Big Lie is not so much as to rewrite history; rather it is to formulate history. Or, as Chris Hedges puts it,
I am cautiously optimistic that, despite all the help they have received from the House of Reps and President Obama, Israel may actually be about to lose in Gaza. They appear to have made a major error in not going to Egypt and in breaking their own ceasefire.
The Guardian has chosen to publish an article written by Michael Cohen: Is the Arab-Israeli conflict going to be the war that never ends? The article is more one eyed than Cyclops. It attracted 1,129 comments, which no doubt is why the Sub-Editor published it.
