I have been planning to post for a few weeks about the plans for this website going forward following the conclusion of the Queensland council elections.
I’m not going to be actively posting on the website, or publishing any new episodes of the podcast, for the next little while, but a lot of stuff will be going on in the background.
There are currently no elections planned in Australia until August. Elections are due in the Northern Territory in August and Queensland and the ACT in October. There are also Legislative Council elections in Tasmania which were originally scheduled for early May, but a new date is yet to be set.
So we’re going to take a break from public content until we have more of a sense of when these elections will be held, although I might return to discuss how electoral systems are changing to cope with the pandemic when we have news.
In the meantime, there will be a lot going on in the background to get ready for those elections, however they happen. I’m working now on my guide to the Queensland election and I’ll also be doing guides for the territory elections. I’ve also got a few other things to put together for the NSW council elections which have been postponed until next year.
So please keep checking in, and there’ll be a lot more to see in a few months’ time.
