Where are our words, today?

Have you been the morning, mourning?
Taken flight in night, and song?
Gathering, garnering the too long day

And so to fall, to fall
For their catch cry, the call
The sweet absurd,
Caught in the ballad
of their birds
Without our words
There is no way
Where are our words, today?

Songs For The Band Unformed (signed copy) - a book of poetry by John Passant

201 copies (including those to me for onsale) sold since my book of poetry, Songs for the Band Unformed, was published in September 2016. Pretty exciting.
