[Part 2 of 2] Mr. Ian Proud was a member of the British Diplomatic Service from 1999 until 2023. During that time he worked in Thailand and Afghanistan as well as many years directly from 10 Downing Street. His most eventful posting however was the position as Economic Counsellor at the UK Embassy in Moscow from 2014 until 2019, about which he recently published a book called “A Mistfit in Moscow: How British Diplomacy in Russia Failed”
