Australia Joins 11 Countries In Condemning Houthi Attacks in Red Sea

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has released a joint statement with 11 other nations condemning Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. Australia has joined with Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom to describe the attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Red Sea as “illegal, unacceptable, and profoundly destabilising”.
