Man, I had big plans for last week. I was home alone, and I wasn't juggling multiple deadlines. I'm currently working on a semisecret project that I want to bring to market by the end of May, and last week was going to be the week that I really dropped some bombs on that sucker.
I knew I wouldn't be doing much on Tuesday after the melanoma op, and I figured Wednesday would be a bit slow, too. No problemo. I’d work around it.
As it turned out, I was lost in brain fog until Sunday morning, and as soon as the fog cleared, I caught a stray from a migraine. It wasn't a Skullcrusher, but it was the final kick in the head, so to speak. Still, migraines are manageable. I had a beer and a couple of painkillers and went back to work. I had my first solid day of writing since getting cut, and I finished the first instalment of the secret project.
So that was good.
Anyway, I have the first half of this week to myself. I'm still on my own and will remain so until Jane gets back from Sydney on Wednesday evening. My brain fog has cleared, and I'm feeling pretty well rested. So I'm keen to see what happens this week.
